COOK COUNTY: The mission of the Department of Contract Compliance is to certify Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (MBE/WBEs), to ensure that all County purchases comply with the Cook County Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise Ordinance, to educate County using departments and vendors on the importance and the process of complying with the Ordinance, to develop MBEs and WBEs capable of performing as primes, and to work together as a team to monitor the success of the process.

(CMSDC) is a premier organization for increasing business opportunities between major buying organizations and minority-owned businesses. They are one of the nation's premier organizations for minority business development in the nation. For over twenty years, CMSDC has championed the interests of minority entrepreneurs in the Metropolitan Chicago Area and nationally. CMSDC's Chicago Business Opportunity Fair, which is in it's third decade, was the impetus for the founding of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. (NMSDC), a network of over 40 regional Councils in major cities across the country. CMSDC was born out of a direct initiative of corporate, government and civic leaders in response to a call from the minority community for business access and economic parity. |
